Dystopia Completion Mishap

Hey guys,

I was updating the challenge completion posts and noticed the Dystopia one didn't have a Mr Linky!

I have no idea what happened there, but it has one now. I've also added the links from those who have commented and left their completion list links.

If on the other hand you came to list your link, saw Mr Linky had vanished, and decided to come back later you can now! I hope you remember so we can check out your books.

Sorry about that everyone! If that ever happens again please bring it to my attention and I'll get onto it right away.

Cheers,
Bonnie

2012 Challenges & Closing This Blog Update

Hey everyone! I have some updates!

2012

As I mentioned in this post I planned on moving the challenges here to my website Bookish Ardour. Well I've gone ahead and done that. I'm already accepting sign ups!

I've gotten rid of a couple, but replaced them with new ones, and kept a few of the older ones. So now it will be Off The Shelf!, Get Steampunked!, Dystopia, Free Reads, and Go Indie.

If you want to check out the challenges, sign up, and read the updated FAQ, you can do so here.

This Blog

Now, what's going on with this blog? I will be closing it, so to speak, in that I won't be posting here or hosting challenges. However, I will be leaving it here for everyone's links from 2011. I'm going go be exporting all your links and pasting them into the posts so they're easier to find, including in search engines, which hopefully means more traffic for you even though the links are old!

2011 Challenges

You can still join in until the last two weeks of December, if you think you can read enough books in that time.

When it comes to accepting links for reviews and completion posts, that will be open until the end of January 2012. After that I will be taking down the Mr Linky widgets and then exporting all the links. So you have until the end of January to get your posts and links sorted out.

Thanks guys, and thank you so much for everyone who participated, including those of who have shared the challenges around in forums and on other websites. I appreciate all your effort and everything you've done! It's been a very interesting experience and I hope you join in again next year!

Planning For Next Year and This Blog

Hey guys!

I thought I'd drop in with some updates and let you all in on the plans I have for the future of this blog.

So I've got my main book blog over at Bookish Ardour, which has now turned into a group effort so I can take more time to write, but that also means extra goodies going on over there.  I've added a few new features, giveaways and events, two new memes, to the blog and plan on moving these challenges over there as well.

It won't be for this year's though, only for next years, which I'm already setting up to start taking sign ups and all that jazz  (last year I started in September for these ones, talk about eager!). If you want to take part next year you can start checking it out soon. I'll continue Off The Shelf, Dystopia, and Steampunk next year, but I'm ending The Comic Challenge, and The Century Challenge. I'll be adding two new ones though to replace them.

Hello! Facebook, Giveaways, and Interviews

Hi everyone!

I wanted to drop by and post because I realised it has been ages. I see we are still getting people signing up (awesome!), lots and lots of people are actively participating with posting their reviews, and we have some people who have completed challenges! Congratulations to those who have! I hope you were able to find some great reads, had fun, and will consider that challenge or another one next year.

I know I'm very quiet on here, so what I'm going to do is start posting about the challenges on my Facebook page for my main blog. If anyone would like to come along and share what they're reading with others, give updates on their challenges, or just drop by to chat, please feel free to do so. It may be a fan page, but I feel that being a place to get together feels much better.
